Promised, sworn!
All of the world’s countries must act to ensure respect for the articles of the Convention. Countries lacking the resources to accomplish this can be helped by the other countries. (Article 4)
States must make the laws on children’s rights known and obeyed by both adults and children in their countries. (Article 42)
Governments and international organisations (such as UNICEF) must work to ensure that children’s rights are protected. The Convention explains how governments and international organisations can work together to ensure that all children can exercise each of their rights. (Articles 43-54)
